You might be thinking, “yes, the game designers did not intend for a player to pass through the wall like that, so it should not be accepted.” That may be true but lets look at some tricks that are clearly what you would not call glitches, just faster ways of doing things in the game. The game was made with it’s own rules unique to itself. But by who’s standards are we referring to? No one has a say on how a game can or should be played. Glitch is just a word gamers use to describe what appears to be something that is not supposed to be accomplished in a video game.
From my experience in the world of gaming I have encountered tricks in games that have become very debatable in whether or not a trick should be defined as a “glitch”. What do most people define a “glitch” to be? Is it Going through what appears to be a wall perhaps? Who decides what is defined as a “glitch” and what is not? It is actually not as easy to determine as you might think.
